I decided to read up on internet gambling addictions. It turns out there are basically two types of gamblers: escape gamblers and action gamblers. Escape gamblers do it to distract themselves from life, pain, emotions, etc... Action gamblers do it for the rush, for the thrill, and for the risk. I can identify with both types. Sometimes I like to play online poker because I am just bored.
